1. Comhghairdeas mór le foireann peil Gaelach na scoile a rinne éachtaí iontacha i mbliana. Bhain siad Sciath i Corn an Túr ina rannóg, Sciath i mbliots na Scoileanna Beaga agus Corn i Corn Cuimhneacháin Francis Lagan i mbabhta ceannais condae ar an Abhainn Beag ar na mallaibh. Congratulations to our Gaelic Team who had many achievements this year. They won a shield in their division in the Tower Cup, a shield in the Small Schools' Blitz and a Cup in their division in the Francis Lagan Memorial Cup County final in Owenbeg recently.

Pupils who were awarded Dalta Ranga na Bliana (Class Pupil of the Year) recently; Mollie-Cait, Finn, Iarlaith, Noah, Eadaoin, Freya and Martha.

3. Pupils who were awarded Spiorad an Ranga (Spirit of the Class) recently; Liam, Dualta, Lily, Seán Óg, Caoilte, Dara and Caolán.

5. Ciaráin Ó Coileáin received ‘Pupil of the Year 2022/23 recently. Maith thú a Chiaráin.

6. Jessica Nic Gabhann received Gaeilgeoir na Bliana 2022/23 (Irish speaker). Maith thú Jessica.

7. Congratulations to Iarlaith agus Jessica from Rang 3, Noah and Faye from Rang 4, Lily and Rónán from Rang 6 and Ciarán from Rang 7 who were winners in ‘Scríobh Leabhar' (Write a book) recently. We have budding authors in our midst. Everyone who participated received a certificate and a small prize.

4. Matthew Ó Coileáin received Sports Pupil of the year Maith thú Matthew.

8. Rang 7 recently had their Leaver's mass and in Our Lady of Lourdes chapel in Steelstown. Afterwards they were presented with a ‘Bunscoil Cholmcille Class of 2022/23 hoodie. They were also presented with their Fáinne Airgid (Silver Fáinne). The ‘Fáinne' is awarded to pupils who are competent in spoken Irish and it makes other people aware that they can speak Irish to them. Well done Rang 7. Also in the photograph is a beautiful piece of artwork created and gifted by one of the Rang 7 parents, a dove with the Rang 7 pupils' signatures around the edge. Galánta
