Druidim Scoile / School Closure

I am sure you have heard the announcement this evening that school closure takes effect from Wednesday, 18 March until further notice.

While the main concern at this time is the health, safety and welfare of our children and our families, it is important that children have a structure to their days in the times ahead. Our staff have been very busy these past few days preparing work folders, information about learning at home and identifying appropriate educational apps. for your child. Educational apps are under 'Spás daltaí' and 'links'.

Work folders for Rang 1, 2, 3 and 6 will be available to collect from school tomorrow morning, 19 March from 9.30-10.30. More information about Learning at Home for each class is on the school website under the ‘Foghlaim sa bhaile’ tab and then in the appropriate folder for each class. Rang 4, 5 and 7 have the workbooks in their homework bags since last Friday. 

Remember learning is not all about books. Additional information about enjoyable but educational activities you can do with your child will be on the website soon.

Together (but apart) we will get through this but please follow the HSC/PHA advice/guidelines so that we can all curb the spread of this virus. Prayer is also very powerful. Practice the prayers your child learned at school and if you can, say the rosary together as a family.
