Lá Fhéile Bríde / St. Brigid's Day
We usually invite families into school to join us in making St. Brigid's crosses at this time every year. Unfortunately, we are unable to do this at this time.
We hope that some of you will be able to make a St. Brigid's cross at home. Send us a photo or upload it to facebook if you can. We would love to see them.
The children will be learning about St. Brigid this week and we hope that a few children will also be making some crosses
This is an old Irish tradition and it is important that we pass it on to our children which they will hopefully keep alive.
Another tradition is to leave a cloth outside on the evening before St. Brigid's day. The story goes that St. Brigid's blesses it. The cloth helps to soothe sore throats, headaches etc. Give it
