Below are a few videos to help you support your child with calculations. Although we place a huge emphasis on teaching Mental Math strategies in school, it is still important that children can use the written method for larger, more complicated numbers.

*Note: In some of the videos when Karen is exchanging the unit number over to the tens columns, she does so by writing the number below the calculation. Our children are taught to record the number above the calculation line. This is only a matter of preference and makes no difference to the calculation.
